Strappado is a form of torture in which the victim's hands are first tied behind their back, and then he or she is suspended in the air by means of a rope attached to wrists, which most likely dislocates both arms - weights may be added to the body to intensify the effect and increase the pain

  2. Its beyond my imaginative skills to understand any point in this. How can a human be so brutal with another human. It clearly goes on to show the insensitivity of American militia and intelligentsia on the entire dessert storm issue.

It’s sad that you include only picture of evil white people torturing; you don’t include any pictures depicting the ‘real’ torture that Al Queda performs on their victims. I’m sorry, being stripped naked, with a collar around my neck, while a dog snaps at me isn’t torture; having my head sawed off with a knife “IS” torture. How one sided can you be?

    Dear Sir,

I am a training manager working within the National Health Service here in the United Kingdom, with a brief around Equality Diversity and Human Rights. I am presently working on an e-learning programme for internal use about the Human Rights Act. One of the most important features of any learning programme is quality eye catching illustrations. I am in need of an illustration to help me with Article 4 Freedom fromTorture, and I would really like to use one of the pictures from your site. It is the oneof Abu Grahib that I found it on Google and I understand it belongs to you. Would you be kind enough to give me your consent to use it for the purposes described.

    Thank you very much

    Phil Waters

Thank you very much for considering this request.

nothing outrageous here… the ones who are shocked propably did not know that the human imagination and creativity is not just for music and films. And even with this knowledge some prefer to be in some animal-rights organization, when people all over the world die in excruciating pain and agony. What a hypocrisy……..
